The UK has a large number of public EV charging points, however charging at home is often the most convenient and cost-effective way to charge an EV. An increasing number of workplaces are also now installing an EV charging point for use by employees and visitors.
EV units either import from the national grid or use the energy generated by a solar or wind power system.

Available in 7kw and 22kw three-phase units, the zappi is an eco-smart EV charger, which operates both as a traditional EV charger and also allows you to charge your EV using the energy generated from your PV system, where installed.
The zappi can charge for free using your PV charger during the day and be set to charge at the most economical times at night if you have preferred economy rates from your energy provider. If you don’t have PV, zappi operates like a normal EV charging station importing from the grid.
With the zappi, charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. Charging will continue until the vehicle is fully charged, even if power is drawn from the grid.
